Meet Amanda…
My name is Amanda Campbell, and I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist since 2006. I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, early intervention, rehabilitation hospitals, skilled nursing facility, and an outpatient pediatric facility. I enjoyed my time working with adults, but my passion is with children.
Originally from Maryland, I attended Towson University. I moved to Florida with my husband and two kids in 2017 in search of warm weather. Also, I have a deep love for animals, and it has lead me to include animal assisted therapy as part of my practice.
My approach to speech-language therapy is family centered, and I structure the therapy around both the concerns of the parent and the motivations of the child. I believe that play is the best way for children to learn. When working on skills through play, the skill is much more likely to generalize to other activities. Additionally, therapy works best when there is carryover outside the session. As such, part of the treatment service includes educating caregivers on how to support the child at home.
I would love to work with you and your child to achieve your communication skills and goals. Contact for more information and to schedule your appointment.
